SonoChem uses copper and zinc to make fabrics antimicrobial. We never use silver. The antimicrobial properties of copper and zinc have been known for hundreds of years.

Our patented technology creates millions of tiny bubbles in a liquid carrying dissolved copper or zinc sulphates. Through sonochemistry and acoustic cavitation, the bubbles collapse generating temperatures up to 5000°C and pressures of 2000 atmospheres, driving particles deep into the fabric for a powerful killing zone against incoming viruses and bacteria.
